The Greenbrier Gazette, a bi-monthly community paper, is distributed to all Greenbrier residents the first Friday of February, April, June, August, October, and December by placing it in residents’ newspaper boxes. Established in October 1993, the Gazette has been a source of information to our community for over 28 years.
The paper is produced by a production staff of more than 30 resident volunteers and columnists who submit news articles for each edition. Articles include a host of activities for men, women, and youth including golf, tennis, pool, and social events at The Emerald Golf Club, a social calendar of upcoming events, real estate updates, gardening tips, computer advice, Greenbrier Property Owners Association (GPOA) updates, book reviews, updates from our elected officials and MORE!!
The Gazette keeps you connected to our amazing community. We hope you will find the Greenbrier Gazette interesting, informative, and useful. Your comments and suggestions are MOST welcome. The County Compass handles all advertising. If you wish to place an ad, contact them at 252-745-3155 or email flora@compassnews360.com. The Compass publishes the Gazette at no charge and donates a portion of the advertising revenue to the Gazette. Each year, the Gazette takes a vote among their staff and passes that donation along to a few deserving local charities.
